Capital Campaign Update          

Fall 2007, Union Church -- The Union Church achieved the first access goals with a ramp in the vestry and sanctuary-level bathrooms. Both were completed over the past year.
Phase Two, the actual beginning of the elevator, began officially with our Spring groundbreaking. The elevator shaft itself rises tall against the side of our building after a summer of hard work. For more information on its progress, see the Access Project Page. Congratulations to us all for making this dream come true!
The music project will also begin with a new evaluation of the organ and specific recommendations for repair. Pending the results of this and the bids for repair, the schedule will be set. We will keep the congregation informed as this exciting transformation takes place.

The Union Church is now over 100 years old, and the building slightly younger, so this campaign is a major step toward an old dream of accessibility to welcome everyone. •• Article contributed by W.B.H.
