“Our goal is to create a beloved community and this will require a qualitative change in our souls as well as a quantitative change in our lives.”

― Martin Luther King Jr.

MLK Sunday

January 17, 2021, 10:00 a.m.

This Sunday’s worship was crafted by our Advocates for Racial Justice Team. Through images, prayer, reflection, word and music, we remembered the long legacy of racial injustice in this country.  We remembered the work and witness of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We remembered his call for nonviolence in the fight for racial justice.

We also reflected on where we are today. How are we to face racial injustice of our time and how are we to join in the on-going work of realizing the beloved community?

Our scripture took us into the wilderness with Jesus.
