Our annual meeting will be held this Sunday, June 9, following the worship service. This hybrid meeting will start around 11:15 a.m.

For those attending via Zoom, please remain in the Zoom room after worship as we transition to the Vestry. If you only wish to join the meeting, use the Worship link on our website to access the Zoom room at any time. We will take attendance, and participants can ask questions and vote through the chat.

For in-person attendees, lunch will be served as we gather in the Vestry. We will review and approve the minutes from last year's meeting, the Annual Report, the Nominating Slate, and the budget for the upcoming year. We will also discuss plans and priorities for the future.

We look forward to your participation and welcome any questions or concerns you may have. Please join us.

Prayers of the People

Loving God, hear the prayers
of your people gathered in this community,
  • We pray in gratitude for the EOF Youth and graduating seniors who led us in worship last Sunday, and for the journeys of faith you have accompanied them through this year. Remain with them as they continue to ask, explore, and deepen in faith.
  • We pray for all the leaders of this church: those who have come before and shaped our community, those who are currently serving, and those who have said "yes!" to serve in the coming year. We ask that you would guide all of us so that we might together be the church you call us to be in the world.
  • We pray for all of our graduating high school and college students as they celebrate this threshold moment and discern what comes next for them. We pray for all of our youth and families as they balance the many aspects of school, activities, family life, and spiritual connection.
  • For all in our UCW community who are ill, or who are caring for loved ones. For all who grieve, God, we ask for the comfort of your presence.
  • We pray for peace for your people all throughout the world. Teach us to beat our swords into plowshares, O God, and to sow wisdom and reap peace, justice, and joy.
If you have other prayers of concern or celebration you
would like lifted up in community, please email
Pastor Megan at [email protected].

Stewardship

Sharing from the Heart
2024 - 25 Pledge Drive

Stewardship season is still going strong. Our theme is "Sharing from the Heart." When we share from our hearts, freely, the gifts with which we have been blessed become the foundation for life-giving ministry. Your pledging allows this church to boldly claim our covenant and plan for services within this congregation and out into the world in inclusive, mission-minded, and intergenerational activities.
We ask you to SUBMIT your PLEDGE HERE

Committee News

The Nicaragua committee is happy to share with you a recent letter from the student that is currently being sponsored by the Union Church in Nicaragua. Marvin is in his final year of university and is anticipated to graduate in December 2025 !
Marvin Ernesto Collado Vargas
Dear members of Union Church in Waban,

I hope this message finds you well. I am pleased to inform you that I am in good health and in good spirits at this time.

I've been working to get ahead, now I work at Remanso Beach and in my free time I usually take surf classes right there, it's good because it helps distract the mind a little. I am writing to you with great enthusiasm to inform you that I have started the university thesis/degree-defense course, on which I have been working hard. This important academic project represents a significant milestone in my educational and professional training.

"You got this Marvin and congratulations to all the other Union Church high school and college students who will be graduating soon !! "
