Upcoming
Summer Services

Sunday, August 4 (this week!)

Newton Highlands Congregational Church at 9:30am

We’ll worship together with all of the UCC-affiliated churches in Newton at Newton Highlands Congregational Church at 9:30 a.m. We’ll enjoy fellowship, communion, and their air-conditioned sanctuary! UCC Area Conference Minister Alex Shea Will will lead us in worship.
Next Sunday, August 11

UCW, on the stage at 10:00 a.m.

We’ll resume lay-led worship on the stage. The time of sharing about Jesus’ parables has been powerful and moving, so if you haven’t yet come to summer worship, we encourage you to come check it out!

From the Deacons

Flat Jesus
Summer 2024!

This week, Flat Jesus visited with Pastor Amy and the Pazmiños, embarked on a cruise to Canada with Jean W. and Judy M., and sampled the flavors at Pastor Megan’s hometown ice cream store. Where has your Flat Jesus been? Send pictures to Pastor Megan at [email protected] to share!

Prayers of the People

Loving God, hear the prayers
of your people gathered in this community,
  • We pray for Cindy, sister-in-law to Jay and Betty O'Beirne, as she faces a new and uncertain time in her journey with cancer.
  • We pray for Deborah Malone and her family following a fall and surgery. May God's healing, comfort, and strength surround Deb, David, Kathy, and her family.
  • For all in our community who are traveling this summer: for traveling mercies, joy, and a safe return home.
  • For all in our UCW community who are ill, or who are caring for loved ones. For all who grieve, God, we ask for the comfort of your presence.
  • We pray for peace for your people all throughout the world. Teach us to beat our swords into plowshares, O God, and to sow wisdom and reap peace, justice, and joy.
If you have other prayers of concern or celebration you
would like lifted up in community, please email
Pastor Megan at [email protected].

Stewardship

Sharing from the Heart
2024 - 25 Pledge Drive

Stewardship season is still going strong. Our theme is "Sharing from the Heart." When we share from our hearts, freely, the gifts with which we have been blessed become the foundation for life-giving ministry. Your pledging allows this church to boldly claim our covenant and plan for services within this congregation and out into the world in inclusive, mission-minded, and intergenerational activities.
We ask you to SUBMIT your PLEDGE HERE
