OUR BELOVED MITTEN TREE IS UP IN THE CHAPEL! You can give a gift to someone who may not get any other this Christmas season. Simply choose a red mitten from the Mitten Tree, purchase the gift, wrap it, tape the mitten on the outside of the box and return it by Sunday, Dec. 20th. All of the gifts are for adults in Dorchester and are requested by the person whose name is on the back of the mitten. You may also choose to donate a monetary donation for the food pantry in Uphams Corner, Dorchester. Please let Sandy Nelson or Nancy Zollers know whose mitten you took and thanks for your part in our Mitten Tree Project.
SPECIAL CHRISTMAS COLLECTION: This year the Christmas Collection will go to our ongoing partnership and projects in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. Over February school break, 14 people from our congregation will travel to San Juan del Sur to work at La Escuela Azul y Blanco (The Blue and White School) making many improvements to the school including building a fence to protect school children from stray animals, much needed maintenance and repairs, restocking school supplies, and installing a pump system that will provide access to clean water for the children. You may use the offering envelopes in the pews for your donation or drop a check, marked for the Christmas Collection, in the offering plate.
