January 15 Update

 

 

We invite you to worship with us this Sunday, January 17, The Second Sunday after the Epiphany. The preacher will be The Rev. Ned Parker, our interim minister. The choir will sing "Didn’t My Lord Deliver Daniel" arranged by Roger Emerson. Wendy Donnell will lead a conversation for the Sunday School titled: In the wake of the Haiti earthquake: Accidents and Disasters: Does God care? Reception is hosted by Wanda and Larry Getchell.

The Book Discussion group will meet next on Wednesday, January 27 at 7:30 p.m. They will be discussing Learning to Fall: The Blessings of an Imperfect Life by Philip Simmons. The author was diagnosed with ALS when he was 35 years old. The book is about his remarkable 10-year spiritual journey. His brilliantly crafted essays offer us the gift of connecting more deeply and joyously with our own imperfect lives.

 

Haiti Hurricane Relief: As you all know, Haiti, the poorest country in the western hemisphere, suffered tremendous loss of life and damage in an earthquake last week.
