January 23 Update

We invite you to worship with us this Sunday, January 24, The Third Sunday after Pentecost. Rev. Parker will be officiating, his sermon is titled "Actions in Humility." The choir will sing "Star of Wonder" by Alan Bullard. Church School is in session; along with their lesson, thechildren will be assembling hygiene kits for victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Reception is hosted by Molly Owen-Kiritsy and Chris Kiritsy. Following the reception, members of the search committee will be available to answer questions about how they came to choose The Rev. Stacy Swain as our next minister. Rev. Swain and her family will be on hand Saturday, February 6 at 4:00 p.m. to meet you, and on Sunday, February 7, she will preach duriing worship and immediately following we will hold a congregational vote.

The Book Discussion group will meet on Wednesday, January 27 at 7:30 p.m. They will be discussing Learning to Fall: The Blessings of an Imperfect Life by Philip Simmons. The author was diagnosed with ALS when he was 35 years old. The book is about his remarkable 10-year spiritual journey. His brilliantly crafted essays offer us the gift of connecting more deeply and joyously with our own imperfect lives.
