t is an exciting time at The Union Church in Waban and our Transition Team and Search Committee have been hard at work as we listen for God’s call for our church and new senior pastor.
The Transition Team (Anya Bassett, Alan Cody, Jane Purser, Cindy Spertner, Jaap van Reijendam and Pastor Wendy) finalized its portions of the Local Church Profile earlier in fall 2022. This Team worked diligently and met its timeline goal. Please offer them your thanks when you see a Team member.
Now the Search Committee (Carol Bascom-Slack, Buz Bedford, Jandi Dennis, Susan Hunt Stevens, Bart Kelso, Soo Laski, Elisabeth van Reijendam) is in the final days of its work, and has announced Rev. Megan Berkowitz as our final candidate. Rev. Berkowitz will visit the church on the weekend of April 28-30th, and Sunday worship will be followed by a congregational meeting and vote to call Rev. Megan as our new Sr. Pastor. We hope you will join us for worship and other events that weekend.
