Welcome!

The Union Church in Waban is a century-old interdenominational church founded in the Congregational tradition and affiliated with the United Church of Christ. We are a vibrant and creative community of faith that is spiritually inclusive, child-cherishing, outreach and mission minded, and fully accessible.

Join The Rev. Stacy Swain  and the Union Church family Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. for spirit filled Worship of word, music  and prayer. Worship is followed by fellowship in the Reception Room.

Sunday School is offered for kindergarten through seventh grade, and professional childcare is always available.

What’s new?

Sunday, January 29th. 

  • Bible study continues at 8:00 am in Stacy’s study.  All are welcome as we walk with Jesus in Jerusalem and witness his teaching  on the Kingdom of God and hear his prophetic call that will lead to the cross and ultimately to the empty tomb.  
  •  Worship Service begins at 10:00. Rev. Stacy Swain will explore why it is that we gather together every Sunday morning in a sermon entitled “What am I doing here!?”
  • Professional infant and toddler care is available for our youngest friends, and vibrant Sunday school programming for school aged children and youth.

POSTPONED  Do to circumstances beyond our control, the educational offering by Xenia Barahona has been postponed. Stay tuned for information as to when it is to be rescheduled.    “Xenia Barahona will speak to about the history and the current social, political and economic landscape of Nicaragua to help the church prepare for the upcoming mission trip to San Juan del Sur.  Xenia who is Nicaraguan has a passion for experiential learning and has worked to worked to organize and lead short term travel seminars to Central American with organizations such as The Council of Protestants Churches in Nicaragua (CEPAD), the Center for Global Education/Augsburg College and the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC).   Xenia will lead us in discussion from 11:30 – 12:30 on the stage.”
