Winter and Spring Activities for Tweens and Teens

Early Release Red PartyWednesday, February 5, 12:30 – 2:00 pmKids and youth of all ages are invited to church next Wednesday when school releases early. We’ll eat red food and make Valentine cards for the residents of the Waban Health Center. Red lunch food provided. Bring your friends!

7th Grade PlusEvents for our pre-Confirmation group

 

A Confirmation class will be offered for 7th plus graders starting Fall 2014. The following events are planned this Winter and Spring as a way to forge these kids together as a group and prepare for next year:

 

Dinner with Kathy and Stacy at Stacy’s House

Food, socializing and conversation

Sunday, March 9, 6:00 pm

and

Sunday, May 18, 6:00 pm

Parents’ Meeting with Stacy and KathyWe’ll plan to get together in the late Spring to talk about what Confirmation should look like for our kids next year, and how it can best be scheduled.

 

Bibles for Pre-Confirmands

Rather than giving out Bibles at the end of Confirmation, we’ve decided to give out Bibles before the beginning of Summer. We’ll have a special moment in worship just as we do for the 4th graders each November.

 

 

Youth Group ‘Hunger’ Feast 6th through 9th Graders

 

As a follow up to the Heifer Retreat, and the current Sunday School theme about hunger and food, the youth will be working together during Lent to plan a Hunger Feast for the whole congregation. If you don’t know what a hunger feast is, you will soon. Mark your calendars now for the feast:
